This week we are thrilled to have David Frenk join us to talk about yoga, social justice, and the work that he does with the police. David co-owns Your Yoga, a studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Your Yoga’s social justice work includes its Dancing with Compassion series and Access Your Yoga, a non-profit that brings yoga and mindfulness into communities that don’t have regular access to these practices.
For the yogis out there, we *will* be releasing an extended version of David’s interview. So much brilliance, so little time.
At the conclusion of the interview, Raechel offers up her response to David’s work that (inevitably) references Stokely Carmichael, Dean Spade and a discussion about reform vs. revolution. Scroll down for linx to her references.
Intro: “Top Floor” GRRRL PRTY
Outro: “Higher Ground” Red Hot Chili Peppers (interviewee’s choice!)
