Melody and Elana discuss the feminist history of soap operas, abortion legislation, contemporary feminist media culture, and the challenges (and rewards) of being an academic.
Dr. Levine is the author of Wallowing in Sex: The New Sexual Culture of 1970s American Television, co-author of Legitimating Television: Media Convergence and Cultural Status, and editor of Cupcakes, Pinterest, and Ladyporn: Feminized Popular Culture in the Early 21st Century.
